Bespoke operational software

Seventy-six working screens.None of them are yours yet.

We have built ten industries out in full — mortgage broking, strata, dental, staffing, solar, block management and more. Every screen opens. Every one responds to clicks. None of them is a picture of a screen.

Then we do the same for you. A working version of your own operation — your stages, your language, your brand — before you commit to a build. You click through it. If it earns the build, we talk about that. If not, you keep it.

What already exists

We would rather show you than tell you

Anyone can describe software. These are built, hosted and clickable right now — go and use them. They are the reason we can say eight weeks and mean it.

How it works

You see it working before you pay for it

Most software is bought from a demo of somebody else's business, or a slide deck of what yours might look like. We would rather build the thing and let you use it.

1 Tell us how it runs

One conversation about your stages, your handovers, your obligations and where the money leaks. No discovery invoice.

2 We build your screens

A working mockup of your own operation — clickable, in your language and your brand. Not a wireframe, not a slide.

3 You decide

Click through it. If it earns the build, we talk about that. If not, you keep the mockup and we part on good terms.

Eight weeks is possible because most of it already exists. The engine underneath — client and case records, document handling, approval limits, escalation rules, the portal — is running in production across five sectors. What actually gets built for you is your core: your stages, your deadlines, the handovers that drop, and whatever your regulator or your network asks for. That is the part we spend the eight weeks getting right.

What this is not: a product, and not a replacement for the system your industry already runs on. We do not sell licences, we are not trying to displace your CRM, your accounting package or your practice software, and we will tell you plainly when an off-the-shelf tool would serve you better. Those decisions are expensive to get wrong and we would rather not be the reason you got one wrong.

What it is: the operational layer none of those tools owns — the dates that cost money, the chase across everyone involved, the handover that drops, and the evidence pack somebody asks you for at the worst possible moment. Where a tool already does its job, we integrate with it rather than replace it. What we build is yours: full source, full database, full credentials, handed over at delivery.

The blueprints

Ten industries, worked out in public

Each one takes a sector, works out where its operators actually lose money, and builds the screens that would fix it. The firms are fictional — we do not put client systems on a website — but the processes, the obligations and the screens are real.

Six more: private dental in the UK and in Australia, recruitment and staffing, healthcare staffing, retrofit and renewables, and agribusiness finance. See all ten →

For founders

An idea and a deadline? We build the first real version.

A different conversation from the work above, but the same team. If you have something to launch and a date it has to be live by, we build the production-grade first version — the one that takes real customers, real money and a real support load.

Production-grade from day one

Not a clickable prototype you throw away when it works. Real accounts, real payments, real data, built so the second version is an extension of the first rather than a rewrite.

Fixed price against your date

You tell us the deadline that matters — a funding round, a conference, a season. We scope to hit it and price it up front, with progress payments against milestones rather than a meter running.

Yours at the end

Full source, full database, full credentials. If your next move is an in-house team, they inherit a codebase built to be handed over rather than one built to keep us in the room.

What clients say

Delivered early, without surprise costs

“Plenty of companies claim to be experts in AI, but very few actually deliver practical, real world results. I learned that the hard way after wasting time and money with three different providers before discovering Sentient. The project was delivered early and without any surprise costs.
David Allen · CEO, Connected Health Solutions
Who builds it

Twenty-nine years of shipping systems people use

Steve has been building online systems since 1997 — early websites, then email marketing, now AI. Sentient is based in the Philippines, and through its sister company People Offshore Inc the team that builds your system can also be the team that runs it.

Questions

The things people ask before the first call

What exactly do I get before I pay anything?
A working mockup of your own operation — the screens your team would use, clickable, in your language and your brand. Not a wireframe and not a slide deck. You open it, click through it and decide whether it is worth building. If it is not, you keep the mockup and owe us nothing. The ten blueprints on this site are exactly what that looks like, built for fictional firms so we can show them publicly.
How long does it take to build?
Most systems are delivered inside eight weeks, in four two-week phases, each ending with something your team actually uses rather than a demo. The timeline depends on how many integrations are needed and how tidy your existing data is. We run weekly check-ins, and you pay against agreed milestones.
How do you price the work?
Fixed price, agreed up front. After the first conversation you get a proposal listing scope, milestones, delivery date and payment terms — typically a deposit followed by fixed progress payments. No retainers and no surprise change-orders. Price depends on scope, integrations, and whether you want us to operate the system after launch.
Will it work with the systems we already have?
Yes, and that is usually the point. Most of what we build has to talk to something already in place — accounting (Xero, QuickBooks), CRM (HubSpot, Salesforce, GoHighLevel), email, payments (Stripe, BPAY), your industry's own software. Where a tool already does its job, we integrate with it rather than replace it. If it has an API we can connect to it; if it does not, we will find a path.
Who owns the code and the data?
You do. Full source code, full database, full hosting credentials, handed over at delivery. We do not lock you into our infrastructure or hold your data. If you want to take the system in-house or move it to another developer, you can.
Can you run the system after it launches?
Yes, optionally. Through our sister company People Offshore Inc we can supply the team to run it day to day — support, data entry, account management, whatever the system needs. It works at Philippine cost rates at the standard you would expect. It is an option, never a condition.
Are the numbers in the blueprints real?
The firms and the figures are invented, and every blueprint says so plainly on the page. What is not invented is the work — the process, the obligations, the failure modes and the screens themselves, which are real working pages rather than pictures. We cannot show live client systems, which is precisely why the blueprints exist.

Tell us how your operation actually runs

Your stages, your handovers, where the money leaks. We will tell you honestly whether this is worth doing — and if it is, a working mockup of your own screens follows, before anyone commits to anything.

What happens next

  • We reply within one working day — a person who has read your note, not a bot.
  • If it's a fit, we build your mockup — screens like the seventy-six on this site, in your process and your brand.
  • You click through it before anyone commits — if it earns the build, we talk about that.
